Cloisonné Class [Choose your vase]
Cloisonné Class [Choose your vase]
SUNDAY
JANUARY 22nd
1:30—2:30 pm
The class will be held in-studio at 202 Rhode Island St, Buffalo, NY 14213.
This Lunar New Year, we are celebrating the art of flower arranging in unique turn-of-the-century (c. 1890s-1940s) cloisonné copper vases –– they are decorated with crushed colored glass formed into floral shapes and other decorative motifs.
Class includes all materials needed to make a nageire or heika-inspired arrangement in an antique cloisonné vase of your choosing. This class is appropriate to all skill levels. This is a “small mouth” or petite arrangement course that will focus on building upward. The cost of the course is mostly towards the value of the antique vase of your choosing. These vases are valuable heirlooms.
Light refreshments will be available. Alcoholic beverages are restricted to those 21+. Please note, this course will be postponed if there are less than 3 registered attendants by the course date. In which case, you will be notified and refunded. A portion of profits from this course will go towards supporting Journey’s End.
